Mark Wayne Williams A Michigander who pretended to be a real- life Batman has been told to put away his cape and robe for 6 months.
According to Huffington Post Police in Petoskey arrested Mark Wayne Williams, known as the Petoskey Batman to his fans, in May when they found him dangling from a roof dressed in a Caped Crusader’s costume.
He was arrested for carrying dangerous weapons and trespassing. Inside his belt contained a chemical irritant spray and a steel baton. In all the Dark Knight impostor was charged for carrying concealed weapon, carrying a gas ejectable weapon, and disturbing the peace. Mark had no idea these items were considered illegal.
“We’ve had contact with him in the past, where he’s made himself up to look like that Crow character who is also a comic book character,” Calabrese said, according to The Petoskey News-Review.
It seems that police are treating these amateur superheroes as if they were super villains.
