I was looking through my phsycology book and came across a page that I would like to share. A lot of people are wondering what it takes to be truly successfull, what is the physcology behind it? There was a study that was used on many professional athletes, such as swimmers, basketball players, scientists, and mathmaticians.
It was found that natural talent was not the key to success. The key was the drive and assurance that a person witheld inside of them. It all started with “fun”. Whatever someone found to be fun eventually became there success. However once you lose the drive or the desired interest in whatever it is you were doing, the chances of you being or even wanting to be successful are greatly affected.
This just shows that outside views of people may not always be what is going on in someones head. If someone is driven to do something, and does it, what can anyone say to that?
A lot of it has to do with self confidence… in order to increase your motivation, you are going to need confidence. All self confidence is, is the belief of achieving a certain goal.
In order to enhance self confidence the following may help you.
- Create and set goals that are challenging, but realisticly attainable.
- Use the “small step theory”
- learning and gathering information from experts is a big plus.
- if you fail, just say to yourself that you need to try harder, but it can still be accomplished.
In the end all you need to do is set goals and believe you can achieve them, this works in any field!
Have you ever wondered why you have emotions? Or why we feel sad when we cannot get what we want, or why feel happy when we are in a state of joy, and abundance?
Emotions stand for one thing, and that is warning. Your emotions are warning you weather you are on the right path in life. If you have ever played the game hot and cold with someone, emotions work in the same way.
The emotional guidance system is laid out like this
- Joy
- Love
- Appreciations
- Passion
- Belief
- Optimism
- Hope
- Contentment
The signs that we are off track are -
- Boredom
- Frustration
- Worry
- Blame
- Anger
- Revenge
- Hatred
- Jealousy
- Guilt
- Fear/Despair
When you feel the bad emotions understand that this is your mind telling you that you are off track with life, it means that you are not heading in the right direction, and you need to get back on track quick or else suffer more of these negative emotions.
Emotions are incredible phenomenons in life, there is no explanation for them other than the fact that they guide us where we want to truly be. You can get anything you want when you are in good emotion, ANYTHING! Feeling good is everything when it comes to success, it’s what fuels us.
So how do you change your mood when you are feeling down?
- Music
- Focus Shifting (focusing on something in the environment)
- Talking to friends about POSITIVE things (negative things will only attract negative things
- Be creative, when you are feeling down do what you can to feel good!
Think about the title for a second, and ask yourself what if you honestly didn’t care what others thought of you. Think of how much freedom you would have.
I read an interesting article about how the people that project themselves as “not caring what others think” such as gothic, emo people etc… These people go out of their way in order to make sure people know that they don’t care about them, but in reality they care the most.
This is the rules that most popular people live by, but don’t think about. The people who come out successful care less about what others think.
The main reason that we care so much is because we don’t want people looking down on us. Do you have dreams, wants, needs that have gotten in your way because you care what others may think about you?
How the hell are you supposed to live a happy life if you let other peoples thoughts create your life. You will probably end up going know where in life. Do yourself a favor and just do what you want to do in life. As long as you are not hurting anybody, and abdiding by the law, you will have a much better, and successful life.
Live your own thoughts!
This post entered my mind once I realized that sometimes I can be a complete lazy ass. No one is perfect so here are some tips on how to overcome yourself if you feel lazy.
Usually you shouldn’t concern yourself of being lazy if no one is calling you lazy. People from time time call me this (mainly relatives) but they don’t understand I make money online : ). A lot of bloggers/online entreprenaurs may feel the same way. However since not many people call me lazy, I still think I could be more productive at certain times.
1. First off start with something to do, focus on one thing at a time. If you have to clean the house then clean it THEN go to the next thing.
2. Get some exercise. Get a gym membership and use it at least 3 times/week. Exercise can cure a lot of things that may be causing us problems.
3. Start with something small before you do anything big. Think about at least getting ONE thing done the rest of the day, then work your way on from there.
4. At the end of the day write down what you have accomplished. Was your day fulfilled? Could you have done more? Ask yourself these types of questions.
As you start to progress and do things, you will then want to do more. Understand that when we are “lazy”(not doing anything) are mind wonders, and are thoughts take over. Try to refrain from thinking so much, to actually doing much.
5. Maybe you are not lazy, and a good thinker, and have good ideas… but you don’t know what to do with them. Maybe you could start a blog or something, write about random crap like “how to not be lazy” and see what turns out for yah. Maybe people will actually read what you have to say, and you can make some money online.
6. GOALS - Create goals for yourself, both long-term and short-term. Of course without the short term goals, we cannot really achieve our long term ones. For example lets say long term we want to eventually go on vacation, but since we haven’t followed our short-term goals we don’t have enough money, so we cannot go on that vacation. That Sucks!
7. Discipline yourself. I’m not saying to hit your head against the wall. However maybe you could start actually caring more about yourself. This sometimes helps…
8. Once your on the right track, don’t get off of it. Its hard to to not give up sometimes on things we want, or can do. Ask yourself “I have gone this far and I feel way better about myself”. Why would I want to go back to my old ways? Its like smoker who starts and stops. Why not just stop?
9. Remember thoughts are just thoughts, sometimes we think negative and this can affect us throughout our whole day. Are thoughts can be are worst enemy at times, so learn to overcome them.
10. Get a job!
