Alright, I am taking a break from clickbank right now, and giving adsense a shot.  I’m not shutting down all my google campaigns because some are bringing in sales with profit.  However with the on and off actions clickbank is making I can’t stand it.  It is driving me crazy so I am seeking another money alternative for now.  I will let you know how I am doing with adsense.  I have a good plan and I will let everyone in on it, because I know it works well.

I am not making fun of anyone by calling them a noob.  I was there once, and it is no fun, in fact I lost a lot of money before I figured out what I was doing wrong.  Affiliate Marketing is all about trial and error.  The money you lost could be money well invested in the future, if you learn from your mistakes.   Here is a list of things I learned when I started affiliate marketing.

In Adwords google search, or any other type of Search advertising make sure you are using exacts [your keyword] in your keyword lists.  Why is this so important?  Well if someone searches for something thats not exactly what your selling, then you may end up something like this - “your keyword free”, “your keyword torrent”, “your keyword cracked”.  I gaurantee you will make no sales if someone is searching for your product like this.  I noticed a lot of these when I started and I finally started using the exacts.  It definitley saves you a lot of money, you will also be amazed as to how many people search for their products on the internet without buying them (stealing).

TURN OFF THE CONTENT NETWORK if your main target is for searches only.  People often forget to turn this off on their adwords settings,  its a shame adwords keeps it on, but its your job to turn it off.  You don’t want to be paying $3 a click on the content network, trust me!

Be Patient - if your not getting a sale in a certain amount of clicks just test it a few times.  The sales will come or they wont.  I often spend up to $50 max to see if I make a sale or not.  If I don’t I bag the product, or rearrange how I was advertising it.

Clickbank is having problems now… There are a lot of reports that CB is having major issues with crediting affiliates with their sales.  This confuses us and makes us go crazy, and thats how I feel right now.  So if your not making sales and you dont know why… this may be the reason.

Well for one I don’t think I am alone with my dreams. First off - of course I would need money. With the way this affiliate marketing thing is kicking off for me. I have been doubling my income, and have reached almost 300/day on some days. Hopefully these CB problems will clear up, caugh* caugh*. Anyways here is my list of things I want to do

Buying a new Car - Everyone wants a new car, I am not going for something extreme, just something average. Maybe a used mustang or something. I really don’t care much. I used to have an 06 dodge charger, and that was a bitch to pay for, so I got rid of it in 6 months.

Traveling - I would like to travel with my affiliate made money, I think it would make me feel like I am on a real job, even though I can access my laptop anywhere; it would still be a lot of fun.

Take my Family on Vacation - After all the things I put my parents through. I think I deserve to give them a little something… I was no angel.

Of Course Stay in School - I still want to get a degree, i’m not sure if I will ever need it, but its always a good thing to have.. It gives good credibility towards yourself and possibly more opportunities.

INVEST - I will be investing most of my money back into the net. This will be with websites, more affiliate marketing etc… Investing is definitley key if you want to become rich.

and of course get married, have kids and die. But we will wait on that for a little bit.

Email marketing is a very effective way to generate sales for your business or affiliate program.  It is also a great way to announce launches of products, newsletters, information etc…  People read their emails daily, more then they brush their teeth!  Emails also can give you prosperity of your product, by having people sign up for your newsletters, they will want to read more and more from you.  Have you ever noticed most email newsletters you join, the emailer(you) often leaves random links inside the newsletter, and your soon to be customers become interested in them.  So if you were a fitness expert and you were explaining how much a product worked for you, and you said “heres the link to the product”  most likely the people that read the newsletter will purchase what it is you did.  Why?  Simply because you are an expert in your niche(you dont have to be), all you have to do is show proof of results then you become an expert.  If you have seen that “I want Six Pack Abs guy” you will notice how he used those body lastic products, and then promoted them as an affiliate.  God knows how much money he made…  Why not give it a try and see what happens?  You’ve got nothing to lose.

I had a discussion with a fellow affiliate marketer, and we both talked about how we could some how test Clickbank.  What we thought of, and really the only thing that would work efficiently was to instead of using clickbanks payment processor, we would use our paypal account instead.  So how would this be possible?  Well you would have to set up your own domain, and pretty much copy everything from the affiliates site, onto yours which IS POSSIBLE/ legal im not  so sure of.   Then when they are ready to order you go through your paypal account instead of CB’s.  Instead of us waiting to be paid by our publishers, its the total opposite.  Once we would recieve a payment, we would send the publishers % into their paypal account.  If a publisher is interested in testing this with me, please leave a comment.
